Welcome to the first post in the Traditional Holiday Blog Series here at Createyou86. I am so excited about this series. Winter is such a wonderous time of the year, and with the holidays there is always more joy in the air. This series will be some traditional posts like previous years from Createyou86, and ther will also be some non-traditional items, and posts that you might not expect to see. This first post is all about my winter favorites for this year. I have said in other seasonal posts that these types of posts are some of my favorite. I love figuring out things that i am loving at any moment because i am not really a journaler, and it gives me time to reflect on the season, and moment. Some of my favorites this winter include: Hoodies I know that i mentioned this last year, but hoodies, and my love for hoodies never ever goes out of style. Who doesn't love throwing on a comfy hoodie, and watching some Netflix, or binge watching some YouTube planner videos? Candles Candles are amazing. When i say amazing i mean that they are everywhere in our house. Weather they are being used for a romantic dinner, or you are relaxing in the jacuzzi candles can always bring the scent of the season, and relaxation to the home. Hot Chocolate Hot Chocolate is one of my favorite holiday, and winter drinks. One of my favorite Keurig k-cups is the Starbucks Hot Chocolate. It has just the right amount of chocolate, and never comes out watery. You can always add some marshmallows for a little extra pizazz. New Planner Goodies This is pretty obvious for Createyou86. I am very obviously obsessed with planners, and planner goodies (there will be a post coming up). I love getting ready for the new year in all of my planners, and finding new goodies around the holidays! First Snow Here in Pennsylvania the first (big) snow is normally beautiful. The first snow is when everything is completely covered for the first time with snow, and hasnt become brown, melty, and dirty from salt, and melting snow. It is the best to make snow angels in, and beautiful to look at, and take photos of . Traditions Tradition runs strong in our family, and we love to create our own traditions. This year we started a new tradition where we created our own ornaments. We used metalic pop-poms, and matching glitter to create our own ornaments (you just put as many pom-poms in the top of the ornament that you want, and add some similar colored glitter into the ball as well, and voila! your done. There are a ton of other family traditions that i will be carrying on, and I have even purchased a holiday recipe binder from Hobby Lobby to pass down traditional family holiday recipes. You can watch that haul, and flipthrough HERE.
I hope that you have enjoyed this post, and that you are as excited about the holiday season as we are here at Createyou86! This series will be all month long in December so keep coming back for more! Let me know in the comments below do you have all of your holiday shopping done? (I'm almost done!)

What a great list! We had homemade hot chocolate last night after decorating our Christmas tree. I think that will be our new tradition. I love scented candles too, but with 5 kiddos I worry that someone is going to knock them over. I use an essential oil diffuser instead.
