Welcome to the second post in the New Year New Planner blog series. I hope that you enjoyed seeing my goals for 2018, and how transparent i have been, and will continue to be. However, this is a post that i never thought i would have to make.
I was injured at work on January 2nd the first day back after our new year long weekend. I have now been out of work for 18 days, and i have been planning in a different sort of way. At this point i do not have to put what my work schedule is because i don't have one, but i do have a ridiculous amount of doctors appointments. Sometimes i see multiple doctors in the same practice in the same day. I do use stickers to remind myself to do my doctor recommended stretches (even if i don't feel like they are doing any good), and i find myself planning other things (blog, podcast, possible new Facebook Group) because at this time i can't plan around work. To be honest most of my physical plans are on hold right now because i simply can't do them, but i can't wait to get back into a normal schedule, and ability to complete some of those 2018 goals. Being at home, mostly in bed drives me crazy, but i also need to plan what my next steps are for my recovery. I am planning phone calls, organizing pertinent paperwork, and making sure everything is in order. I have heavily considered opening a Facebook Group based around planning (i am definitely participating more being at home most of the day.) However, i don't know week to week how much longer i will be out. Hopefully there is a solution found, and i won't be out much longer. I hope that you have enjoyed this post from a different perspective, and definitely something different from what is normally posted on this blog. I hope that it can give some encouragement to anyone else who is out of work, but still needs to plan their life. LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW: WHAT IS YOUR GO TO PLANNER?

Oh no. Well I do hope your recovery period is speedy and you get back into the swing of things. Planning life around doctors appointments and other sorts of commitments can be very hard and tiresome!!

Hope you get well soon! I would say focus on recovering more than anything now because for you to be your best you have to be healthy. It is okay to some days forget everything, relax and rest for speedy recovery.

So sorry to hear you've been injured! Being cooped up in bed is never fun but it's sounds like planning and the planning community is providing you with a positive outlet in this difficult time. My go-to planner is the Bob's Your Uncle 8 Days a Week planner. I absolutely love it!

Thanks for stopping by. The planning community is a huge inspiration to me, and always will be. I love having something to look forward to in the community weather it be planning my own stuff, or looking forward to product releases etc.
