I want to start off by saying WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY! And secondly....grab a drink, get cozy, and kick back because this post is going to be a little lengthy. I normally try to keep these posts relatively short, but I just received my #Bellavoxbox from #influenster complimentary to test, and review, and there are so many awesome products that I want to share with you. First up us the Ecotools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Brush. This brush is amazing! Not only are the bristles super soft, cruelty free, and eco friendly, but this brush acts as an aid in common skincare concerns. My biggest concerns are dark circles under my eyes from lack of sleep, and lines. This brush helps conceal these problem areas for a more than affordable price. Follow @Ecotools on Facebook, and Twitter. Ecotools Facebook The next product is Dove Fruit.... Dove Fruit is a little piece of heaven in my mouth! -Createyou86 Dove Fruit consists of whole blueberries covered in smooth Dove dark chocolate. I received the Blueberry flavor to test, and review, and they are amazing! They also come in Cranberry, and Cherry. I love all of these fruits, and have every intention of purchasing more. This product was gone as soon as I opened my box (not only because we live in California, and it was 92 degrees yesterday so I couldn't let them melt, but they just looked so tasty I had to try them!). I have been a believer that dark chocolate is ALWAYS bitter. I normally am not a fan of dark chocolate, but this product proved me wrong. Not only is the flavor relatively sweet with the added burst of fruity flavor at the end of your bite, but it tastes nothing like the bitter cooking chocolate many of us are used to tasting when sneaking a fingerful of homemade cookie dough or other sometimes bitter flavored treats. Find Dove on social media with #dovewithrealfruit Dove Facebook and Dove Pinterest Next in the countdown is.... Not Your Mother's Déjà Vu 'Do Style Extender (Travel Size) This product is kind of a miracle. For someone who lives in sunny, relatively windy, dusty, hot and sweaty Central Cali! Why you ask? Because the Déjà Vu style extender from Not Your Mother's Brands prevents all of the above! Most know that hair products can leave your hair feeling heavy, and lifeless. This product won't. (I realize that I have had nothing bad to say about these products, because I have tried them all, and I can't find anything wrong!) This product blocks humidity, repels dirt and oil, all while being a great base for any other styling items you might use in your everyday routine. One of the very first qualities I noticed about this product was the smell. Red apples and berries are infused in the product. As feminine as this might sound, James the other half of Createyou86 has said he wants to try it, and doesn't mind the scent which is a big deal coming from his lips. This product also has conditioners for frizz control, softness and shine. Find Not Your Mother's Brands on social media @nymbrands #nymdjvd NYMB Facebook How far are you through your drink? Club W can help with a refill! Are you a wine drinker? I love wine, but I have a very picky palate! The Club W wine club takes this into account right when you sign up. All of the wines on their list are recommended to you based on your unique palate! When you go to a wine & spirits store the best wines can be the highest priced, but Club W has all of their amazing wines at more than affordable prices starting at $13.00! You will also receive tons of great offers via e-mail when you sign up. There is also a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you don't enjoy one of the wines that are recommended for you, they will replace it at no charge to you! (minimum 3 bottles per box). There is also an iPhone App for convenience. Find Club W on social media @clubw #spring4wine Club W Facebook Looking for some great makeup? That's what's next! You might be thinking...... great, another fashionable celebrity with a makeup line. I thought the same thing until I tried Kate Moss's new products. The Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara has one of the most unique applicators I have ever seen with its broken heart shape, and it makes for super simple application, and no clumps! This product gave my lashes volume, lift, and got the tiny lashes closest to my nose with no problems, and no dark clump. The product is not waterproof, and it dries soft not hard like some mascaras so there is no struggle washing your face if you fall asleep with the product still on. I will be wearing this product for sure at a wedding I will be attending, and it will help clean out some old makeup in my collection. The Rommel Lasting Finish Lipstick in color #14 does just that.....lasts! I wore one application of this lipstick starting around 1:00 in the afternoon, and it lasted the full 8 hours as promised with no reapplications. I enjoyed receiving this product because I am very fair skinned, and do not frequently wear lipstick. Some of the other shades that people received were very bright, and mine is more a nude color which matches my complexion perfectly. Both of these products are highly affordable, and I will be purchasing more very soon to diversify my lipstick collection. Follow Rimmel on social media @rimmellondonus #rimmel #rimmelbykate Rimmel London Facebook Last, but not least Sally Hansen, not nail products. This product is Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs, and as i said earlier in this post, I am very fair skinned. I wanted to be able to receive one of the two lighter colors that were available, but they were sold out so I received the medium color. This color looks dark, but rubs in nicely. At first I was worried about looking orange, but I tested the color on my hand overnight, and it didn't look so bad. I am going to test this product more, but so far it is working well. This product works instantly. You can give yourself gorgeous healthy looking skin, and perfect looking legs for any special occasion. This product won't wipe off on your clothes, but is very lightweight, and it does come off with just water and soap! There was no struggle getting this product off of my skin even the next day. I would most likely purchase a lighter color, and I wish the tube was a bit larger for the price of $13.99. Follow Sally Hansen on social media @sallyhansen #airbrushperfectlegs

Sunday was once again very unforgiving, and I woke up ill. So here we are on Monday night with part 4 of this Createyou86 Book Review. Seeds Synopsis: --------------------------- Seeds tells the story of how Sam fell in LIKE with Gretchen. How he stood up for her in Sunday School. How Gretchen understood that Sam was different than the other children, but she never judged him for it. As a child they spent virtually every weekend together. However, Gretchen's mother began to put her foot down regarding her daughter spending time with a Native American child whom everyone thought held powers including Gretchen. Sam was obsessed with Gretchen, and when he couldn't see her on the weekends he would get worried. He controlled the skies with his emotions even as a small child. He would follow his mother around the farm, and frequently disappear into the walnut grove where he kept artifacts hidden that the spirits had given him, and he spoke to the elements. He was connected to the nature all around him. You do realize that you're connected to the world in a way the rest of us aren't, right? You always were. Fights begin to break out at home after Annika's husband leaves her for the school librarian, and Sam and Gretchen again become connected spending more time together. They promise to be there for each other through thick, and thin, and Sam tells Gretchen that he loves her, but she returns with how she thinks he is like a brother to her. His emotions caused a storm, and he drove Gretchen home wordlessly.
I am starting to really enjoy this read. The story is simple, yet intriguing, and the characters are developing nicely. How are you enjoying the book? Love it? Hate it? Tell us in the comments below! We hope you enjoyed this post. If you did be sure to share it with someone who you think might benefit from it! Check back Sunday for the first section of review questions! a-z blog challenge original post Welcome to reblog wednesday's on Createyou86. Today while I was perusing our Google Analytics it became very apparent that most of our site visitors are from countries other than the United States. I guess I never thought about how far our blog would actually reach. We here at Createyou86 couldn't be more thrilled that people who are in countries I may have never even heard of are visiting our page! Then I remembered an email I received earlier this week about making our content appealing to international audiences, and it couldn't have come at a better time. I am so excited at how far of a reach our blog, and website have! Here is our reblog of the week. I hope that it helps you reach out with your content, all over the world!
Where in the world is the furthest you have seen your audience reach? Tell us in the comments below! Share this post with someone who you think might benefit from it. Courtesy of: Hubspot Blog/Marketing 11 Ways to Make Your Content More Appealing to International Audiences Welcome to Transformation Tuesday on Createyou86! If you follow Createyou86 on social media or have ever checked out our About Page you might know that there are two of us here! (Spoiler: The other half of Createyou86 is James!) You haven't really heard from him since New Year's so I thought I'd invite him to do a guest post. Today James will be talking a bit about his experience as a volunteer. Throughout my life I've done quite a bit of volunteer work. One opportunity has been particularly close to my heart. The Special Olympics. Putting smiles on the faces of children, and knowing that it truly makes their day really drives home the point that You can learn just as much volunteering as you can being paid! I love volunteering. As a whole I feel that we are so worried about making money that we forget how good it feels to do something out of the kindness of our hearts.
During Sports season I do it all: Baseball, football, basketball, and you know what? When you have children asking if you will be their coach or ref that day because they enjoy you being there, or the parents of those children see you in the grocery store, and thank you for teaching their child, and showing them how to have fun while learning a particular skill that brings a smile to my face to know that I have done my best, and made someone else's day! Of course there is a negative side to volunteering, but I try not to focus on that when this is something that I enjoy so much. In closing, there is nothing wrong with volunteering. In fact, we could all benefit from taking time out of our busy schedules to help someone else who may not have anyone to help them. Weather it is kids sports, The Special Olympics, or military veteran's it makes it all worth it to bring a smile to someone's face! -James @mrphenomenal83 on Instagram ⭐We hope you enjoyed this post. If you did, be sure to share it with someone who you think might benefit from it! ⬜⬜ Do you volunteer? If not, would you consider it in the future? Let us know in the comments below! Look out for a new blog series beginning May 1, 2015!! Sundays are book club Sunday's on Createyou86. Unfortunately I could not post yesterday so here we are on monday with the part 3 synopsis of The Truth About Love and Lightning. The Ghost pages 119 - 194 synopsis ---------------------------------------------------------- The ghost is based on the man who appeared on the farm following the tornado. The ghost is thought to be Sam Winston who Abby believes to be her father. Sam went away to Africa, and hadn't been heard from in fourty years. Everyone believed him to be dead. The crazy part is that Sam is not truly Abby's father, her mother just told her that because she was pressured into giving the name, and most people in town assumed. The signs are becoming more and more clear that this man is Sam. Abby takes the man for a walk in the walnut grove to find the spot where the storm dropped him. They found the exact spot, and the turquoise necklace which Sam would have worn in that spot as well. Gretchen's old friend Frank who also happens to be the town sheriff stops by to make sure the house and ladies are ok after the storm. Frank gets very upset that the ladies are letting a mysterious man stay at their home, and decides that the best course of action is to come back, and to fingerprint the man to find out who he is. The man who might be Sam also has the teardrop shaped mole on the base of his neck which the real Sam would have had. However, his feet and hands are so badly burnt that there is no match in the system. Frank suggests a DNA test which Gretchen narrowly escapes claiming possible harm to Abby's baby, and Frank agrees. My favorite quote from this section is: It was strange, she thought, how sometimes blood mattered less when it came to family than who loved you enough to stick around. We hope you are enjoying this book so far. It becomes more and more readable as it moves further through the book. This book is available at The Dollar Tree, and we would love for you to follow along with us!
What is your favorite quote from part 3? Let us know in the comments below! Sharing is caring. Please share this post with someone who you think might enjoy it! Check back on Sunday for part 4 of The Truth Between Love and Lightning with Createyou86! Good afternoon planners, Welcome to the last post in the Createyou86 Spring Into Planning Blog Series featuring Megan from Just Moogley. We are sad that this series is ending, but we will have a brand new blog series starting May 1, 2015 which will be a brand new approach to blogging for Createyou86. Today's post is about our planning motivation here at Createyou86. Our planning motivation is all about organization! There were times in my life when i refused to use anything other than my brain to remember things that i needed, weather it be grocery lists, to-do lists, or even homework when i was younger. Well guess what? Your brain is not for storage! Your brain is for thinking! I love organization, and i have loved it since a very early age. Even though my room was sometimes a mess, i would always take time, and organize it when i thought it got out of hand. Now when we have two businesses to run, blog series' to plan out, reviews to post, and photochallenges to take part in, I need to be organized. My organization has even rubbed off on Createyou86s' other half (he doesn't like to admit it, but he loves his Createyou86 Fauxdori, and he is so proud when he actually puts it to use.) He keeps passwords, notes about Createyou86 meetings, and some other personal information in it as well. I love my Createyou86 Fauxdori, my personal domino Filofax, and my Personal Planner. All of these planners as i have discussed previously hold a different specific use which keeps a specific part of life organized. My motivation for planning is to not leave anything behind. There have been too many times in life where i have forgotten a date, time, activity, or even birthday's, and as of March 2014 I have made a conscious effort to not do that anymore. I understand that accidents happen, but i pride myself on being very punctual. I like people knowing that i will be somewhere when i say i will be, unless there are extenuating circumstances. There is nothing more to thank for this than being organized. I can thank the organization, and planning communities for this, and for keeping my planning inspired. There are so many beautiful photos, and planner people who are so giving, and ready to give advice to new planners which makes it easy to assimilate into the planning community. We hope you enjoyed the Createyou86 Spring Into Planning Blog Series, and that it provided you with a ton of planning inspiration. We also hope that you enjoyed this post. If you did be sure to share it with someone who you think would benefit from it. You can also check out Megan's planning motivations by clicking on her photo below.
What is your motivation for planning? Does it differ from ours? Let us know in the comments below! Be sure to check back for a new series beginning May 1, 2015! We would also love for you to continue to follow along with our #CY86Spring Photochallenge on Instagram. Welcome to Reblog Wednesday on Createyou86 where I share my favorite blog post from the blogosphere this week. In keeping with the kind of theme this week revolving around blogging information, and where to find it. I would love to share a new blogger and writer that I found this week by the name of Molly Greene. She has tons of great content ideas, and ways to make them original.
Molly Greene I hope this link gives you lots of great ideas for new content. If you enjoyed this post be sure to share it with someone who you think might benefit from it. We would also love to hear some of your content ideas. Are they similar? Are they very different? Comment below to let us know! Tuesday's are Transformation Tuesday's on Createyou86. Today on Twitter Joanne Harris (@joannechocolat) posed a pretty important question #wheredoyougetyourideasfrom? This is something bloggers think about all the time! How we can come up with our next great piece of content for our readers. As discussed in a previous post it is our goal to read a new blog every week. This is where we find most of our content. FROM YOU! Not only are you brilliant, funny, and intuitive, but you bring new content to us as well. Here are some answers to Joanne's now trending question #wheredoyougetyourideas ? Do any of these responses sound like something you might say? We actually thought most of them were very funny, and insightful. We hope you enjoyed this post. If you did be sure to share it with someone who you think might benefit from it!
Question of the day #Wheredoyougetyourideasfrom ? TAG US ON TWITTER @Createyou86 we would love to hear your thoughts! Welcome to the fifth post in the Createyou86 April Spring Into Planning Blog Series featuring Megan from Just Moogley. Today's post was supposed to be about our favorite organization apps, but I don't use them........you read right! I don't even use the calendar on my phone for appointments.
BUT WHY??? 1. I enjoy writing, and I accomplish more when my goals are written out. 2. I have a Filofax, Personal Planner, and a Createyou86 Fauxdori for a reason. 3. I can't stand redundancy! Why put it in my phone when I can write a note, bring it with me, and either throw it out when I have finished the task, or if it is important enough file it when I return home? 4. I am never somewhere that my planner is not. If I know I am going somewhere that I will be making appointments, my planner is coming with me. 5. I have tried Evernote, and it just wasn't for me. I hated having to take my phone out every time to take a photo in order to save something. The ability to bring up saved handwriting or text was not reliable enough for me, and there were too many functions to have to learn to use in order to keep organized, when I could turn to my planner which doesn't need to be backed up, or charged. Do you use a favorite app for organization? Which one? We hope you enjoyed this post from the Createyou86 Spring Into Planning Blog Series. If you did, be sure to share it with someone who you think might benefit from it. You can also check out Just Moogley for Megan's favorite Organization Apps. Join us on Thursday for the last post in this series. Sunday's are book club Sunday's on Createyou86. Welcome to Part two of our second book in the Createyou86 Book Club The Truth About Love and Lightning.
The Gift: Part 2 pgs 77-118 Synopsis: ----------------------------------------------------------- The Gift goes into the 1930's Vaudeville background of Henry "Hank" Little foot, a descendant of the Otoe-Missouria Tribes. This man was also Sam Winston's grandfather. Hank possessed the "gift" of rain making. However, this gift also caused him to age unnaturally. By his mid thirties he look as old as a hundred year old man with white hair, gaunt face, and wrinkles. The rain making ceremonies were taking a massively physical toll on his body. His girlfriend in the vaudeville show became pregnant, and they eventually escaped from the Owner of the show who refused to let them leave because the show was bringing in so much money. His family owned a farm where him, and his lady ran away to in order to start a life together. The farm was in total disaray. He Hank had made enough money for a nest egg, and to hire some workers to help rebuild the home. They needed something from the farm to make money for the family. The only thing there was, was a walnut orchard in the backyard which was barren. Hank decides to do the rain dance one last time so his family would prosper, and he ended up being struck by lightning. Nadya had his water birthmark removed. Hank married Nadya, and the baby was born, without any birthmarks, and she was named Lily. "You're blessed to be just as you are. Because sometimes even the greatest gift can become a curse if you're not careful." What are your thoughts about this part of the book? and how do you feel about the quote at the end of this part? I found this part of the book much easier to follow, and much more engaging. I hope you enjoyed this post. If you did we would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below. Welcome to the first post of our second Createyou86 Book Club book: The Truth About Love and Lightning Part 1: pgs 1-75 The Twister Synopsis ________________________ The book opens up talking about the family, and how the twin girls are born blind, and the father runs away with the girls tutor. Section 1 opens in April of 2010, and a twister ensues. The girls Bennie,Trudy, Gretchen, and their mother Annika end up underground because the twins can sense changing weather. When they come back up after the tornado the old oak tree at the end of the driveway has uprooted, the power lines are not working, and it will most likely be days or weeks before the power is restored. At this point in the story the 4th daughter Abby is fighting with her long time boyfriend Nate about how he won't commit to the relationship or marry her. She decides that they should take some time apart, and kicks him out of the house. Abby promptly finds out that she is pregnant, and does not immediately tell Nate. She becomes worried that she cannot get ahold of her mother or sisters, and instead she chooses to take the time apart to go see her mother, and sisters, and unload the Information on them. During the time it takes for Abby to arrive home her sister Gretchen makes an amazing discovery. The walnut orchard which was previously barren has seemingly rained down walnuts while the twister was happening. She also finds an older man who was seemingly hurt in the storm. He doesn't know who he is, but Gretchen sees, and feels Sam an old flame who supposedly died doing work in Africa in him. She helps him to the house where they let him rest, and somehow the power comes back on in the home even though it clearly shouldn't be. They said that when Sam cried the sky cried with him. His father was a Shaman. Abby finally arrives home, and let's her secret out. Her mother, and sisters are very excited for her, but they also know that she is scared as well. I hope you are enjoying the book so far. Again this book was found at The Dollar Tree, but Createyou86 is in no way affiliated with The Dollar Tree. The Dollar Tree did not pay for this book. All opinions are honest, and my own. ⭐⭐I found the first part of this book a bit scattered, and hard to get through, but I am looking forward to getting further into the story.
