Reblog Wednesday: If You Love Planning Put Your Hands In The Air!

Welcome back to Reblog Wednesday at Createyou86.  This week while browsing Bloglovin' (i know i'm crazy obsessed!) I came across a post from one of my favorite blogs to read  Lauren Conrad's Blog.  You might know her as LC from The OC on MTv, but she has since become not only a blogger, but a fashion designer as well.  You can find her designs at Kohl's for more than affordable prices.  However,  today i want to talk about a blog post that i found last night on her site.  This post is an interview with Emily Ley.  Emily is the creator of The Simplified Planner .  Even though i am a huge fan of ring binders such as the Filofax, I also use a Personal Planner which is coil bound, and a Sugar Paper LA planner which i just removed from its coils, and put in my business planner (which is working out fabulously might i add!)  It is time to start looking for next years planners, and I am always looking for new products, and planners to simplify my life.  Emily's planners are clean, and simple, and plenty of people are using them.  Simply hashtag #simplifiedplanner on Instagram, and be ready to be wowed by some beautiful layouts!  It's kind of a rarity that you come across people from the planning community being interviewed so i thought this would be an awesome way for you to learn a little bit more about Emily Ley, and her product.

What kind of planner do you use ring or coil?  Have you considered switching lately?  Let us know in the comments below!

Transformation Tuesday Product Review: Restful Sleep By Dr. Xu

Welcome to Transformation Tuesday on Createyou86.  Yes we just did a product review yesterday!  I normally don't post two reviews in a row, but this is another awesome product that Disclaimer: I did not pay for this product.  I received it free of charge to test and review from a Brandbacker Campaign.
Do you struggle with relaxing before bed?  I do, and most night's i have trouble staying asleep. Is your brain so busy from constantly being on electronic devices all day that you find it hard to clear your head at night so you take a sleeping pill, and wake up groggy?   A little bit about the product:

Natural sleep supplement calms your mind, so you can wake up refreshed...but not drowsy.

Traditional Chinese Medicinal herbs and essential minerals in Restful Sleep™ help to:
  • Calm and quiet a restless mind and body
  • Promote a full night’s restful sleep
  • Nourish chi to bring harmony and balance into the body
  • Promote calm throughout the day
  • Restore vitality to the spleen and heart organ systems
Can’t fall asleep? Wake up several times during the night? Trouble feeling rested even after a full night’s sleep? Oftentimes an overactive mind is what keeps us from getting a full—and good—night’s sleep. But did you know your spleen is KEY to healthy sleep? That’s why Dr. Yan Ping Xu, certified practitioner of Oriental medicine and board certified herbalist, developed safe, non-addictive, Restful Sleep natural sleep supplement to help restore balance to your spleen’s—and whole body—chi (energy) so you can have a full night of restorative sleep and wake up refreshed, never drowsy (Source: Brandbacker Campaign Information).

This is all well, and good, but DOES IT REALLY WORK?
YES!  I have used this product for six days straight, and i am noticing definite changes:
  1. They are affordable!  You can purchase a full bottle of Restful Sleep for $39.99 on Amazon, and free shipping with Prime! at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K3FYCRE You can also get 20% off of your first bottle with this special promo code: SAVEREST  (Check out the bottom right sidebar on this page for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime.)

  1. Two pills taken as directed with a four oz. glass of water thirty minutes before bed helps me to calm my brain (mind you to calm my brain i am also reading some relaxing blogs on Bloglovin'!)
  2. It does NOT make you overly sleepy.  This means that you do not "all of a sudden" feel tired out of nowhere.  I hate that feeling because it disorients me.  Take it from someone who has used not only OTC sleep aids, but prescription strength as well to try to sleep well at night.  This is a gradual sleepy feeling!
  3. This is shameful to say that I AM A SNORER! (that just killed me a little bit inside to admit!)  The other half of Createyou86 says that he has noticed a SERIOUS reduction in my snoring pattern (he literally sleeps with earbuds in, and WWE Network blasting in his ears so he can't hear it), and since i have been taking these pills i have not snored AT ALL according to him!
  4. My sleep pattern has extended.  With other OTC pills or even with an Rx Brand regardless of having a full eight hours rest i still wake up between 6:30 AM and 8:30 AM.  This means i could have gone to bed at 2:00 AM or even 3:00 AM, and still wake up between these times.  With the Restful Sleep Pills my sleep has extended to between 9:30-10:30 AM.  Last night i went to sleep around midnight, and woke up this morning about 9:45 am (that is 1 hour and 45 minutes extended on top of a normal restful nights sleep!)
  5. I don't wake up sleep drunk at all.  With many OTC, and Rx brands you will wake up in a fog, and sometimes even feel inebriated halfway through your day.  Not so with this product.  I wake up refreshed, and bushy eyed!

Have you ever used this product?  If so, how was your experience?  If not, would you consider it after reading this review?  We would love to know in the comments below!

Product Review: OZ Naturals Face Scrub Exfoliant

Welcome to a very special product review here on Createyou86.  I only do product reviews on items that i honestly and truly feel will make a positive impact in your life. Disclaimer: I did not pay for this item.  I received it free of charge to test and review from OZ Naturals as a part of a Brandbacker Campaign.
OZ Naturals Face Scrub Exfoliant utilizes bamboo to gently exfoliate skin and unclog pores without irritation, drying or stripping.  What is so special about this scrub?  This scrub contains lactic acid and Alpha Lipoic Acid to further help the exfoliation process by breaking down and removing dead skin cells, revealing the glow of healthy skin beneath, and assists in reducing fine lines, wrinkles and other signs of premature aging from sun damage.
One of the major key players in this scrub is the green tea extract, which is rich in antioxidants and helps to prevent collagen breakdown as well as skin tone and protects the skin from the damaging effect of free radicals.  The Pro Vitamin B5 in this specific scrub is readily absorbed by the skin and penetrates deep down, retaining moisture and relieving dry, irritated skin, and Alpha Lipoic Acid provides anti-inflammatory effects reducing redness and blotchiness, shrinking pore size and imparting a healthy radiance to the skin.  This product is safe for all skin types, our bamboo exfoliant is all natural and free of harmful ingredients. (Source: Brandbacker Campaign Information)

Now that you know a little bit about the product itself let me tell you what it did for me!  I have VERY dry skin on my face, and my skin is very prone to being oily if the wrong product is used..  I don't normally use a moisturizer for this reason, so the product that i wash my face with or exfoliate with has to leave my face feeling smooth, but not oily.  It took testing many products over the years to find the perfect product that would leave my face feeling smooth, but not oily, and not overly dry.
When i received this product i started using it immediately, and continued to use it for the next five days.  I washed my face with just water, and used it as an exfoliant.  The scrub is VERY coarse so if you aren't used to it (it is like sand in your hands). After you add the product to your face you are supposed to leave it on your face for about five minutes to let the active ingredients work.  As it begins to dry, you can feel your face elasticize with it (get tighter).  While drying the exfoliant (sandy scrub) turns white on your face allowing you to see which areas are being exfoliated.    Personally i enjoy a pretty coarse exfoliant.  After i washed the scrub off of my face as directed, OZ Naturals left my face feeling soft, and smooth.  I normally exfoliate in the shower, but you can't take this product bottle in the shower because the moisture gets inside of it, and clumps up making it impossible to shake the scrub out of the "salt and pepper" style shaker that it comes in (at least that's my experience).  I started using the product when i already had some blemishes on my face, and after using this product for five days those blemishes are pretty much gone.
I WILL continue to use this product here is why:
  • It's affordable you can buy a full size OZ Naturals for $24.95 on Amazon and free shipping with Prime! (check out the bottom right sidebar on this page for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime)
  • It is course, but non-abrasive.
  • It gives my face a smooth feel.
  • I fully understand that it may take longer than five days for the product to really start working with my skin type.
  • My skin feels a little bit oily, but being in central/southern California, and the weather being as dry as it is, it is probably good to have a little bit of oil in my skin.
  • It has caused a few small breakouts, but again it will take a bit for my skin to get used to the coarseness, and ingredients of the product.

Have you ever tried this product?  If so were you happy with the results?  Tell us about your experience in the comments below!

Welcome back to Transformation Tuesday!  We are so excited to finally be back to our regularly scheduled programming!
While we were away for the month of May we were working on several different projects.  One of those projects was being   chosen as a Big for the 2015 Bigs & Littles Blogging Network.  As a Big you are paired with one or more littles within your choosen blogger niche.  Being a Big means facilitating a conversation between yourself, and your littles, and building a relationship.
My little was Olivia Johnson.  She is a business and lifestyle blogger from Atlanta, but her accomplishments span much larger than that.  She is also has a full time job as a lead videographer for a boutique television and film production company, speaks at conferences, and runs her blog.  Amazing right?  We talked alot about monetizing our blogs, and what our vision for our blogs are for the future.  I am truly enjoying having a sounding board, and new blogger friend to talk about anything blogging related!  If you are interested in being a Big or Little for the upcoming year check out Southern Beauty's Guide Page  for the details.  Olivia also joined The Createyou86 Planning & Blogging Mastermind Group (our closed group on Facebook) which is a group for likeminded individuals who enjoy blogging and have a blog, and also enjoy the planning community.  We help lift each other up to improve our blogs, and personal planning.  To join simply click the photo below, and email us your Facebook Name or email so we can add you to the group.  This group is closed, but we are looking for new members to mastermind with, and help each other grow our blogs, and businesses. We look forward to hearing from you!

Moogley & Me Planner Stickers Review

6/7/2015

Picture
Welcome to a special Createyou86 product review post featuring Moogley & Me planner stickers.

In the beginning of May I approached Megan and her mother to see if they wanted to do a product swap/review, and they happily agreed.  Now you need to understand that Megan LOVES her Erin Condren Planner, and I am a Filofax/Personal Planner user for the time being so normally the super cute Erin Condren stickers will not fit in my planners.  Megan and her mother were kind enough to ask for the measurements of my planners to try to help personalize the stickers a little more seeing as how I wouldn't be able to test them on an Erin Condren Planner. NOW ON TO THE GOOD STUFF............
Picture
The stickers I was sent.
All of these stickers are adorable.  The first stickers I want to talk about are the TV STICKERS.
These stickers are great if you watch lots of shows and need reminding about what days or times they are on, but I would have liked them to be a little bit bigger.  I have medium size writing, and I had to squish my writing into the boxes. However, they are small enough to fit in most any planner.
Picture
Next on the list are my favorite stickers THE STAR LISTS.  These lists fit perfectly in my Personal Planner (as I said before they were made to fit) they would normally fit an EC Planner perfectly. The stars are the perfect size to use as check boxes.  They can also act as a decorative page flag.
Picture
Another part of the EC sticker world is the HALF STICKER.  A sticker that is essentially half of the size of an EC planner box used for decoration, or to write on and be decorative as well.  These stickers are super cute, but essentially non-functioning in any planner other than EC.
Picture
The WORKOUT STICKERS are very cute reminders, and are small enough (like the TV) to stick anywhere on your planner.  The BORDERED HEART LISTS are very popular, and are functional in EC planners as well as the pocket size Sugar Paper LA planners (Those are the pages I re-purposed in my personal size Filofax.)
Picture
The rest of the stickers I received were DECORATIVE THEMES.
♥At the Moogley&Me Etsy Shop you can choose weather you want a matte or glossy finish on your stickers.
♥All of the products I received were matte finish and I was able to use ball point pen on all products with no problem at all.
♥All stickers are permanent.  Do not try to re-position or remove once placed or you will rip them.
♥All stickers were cut perfectly, and removed from backing with no problem at all.  Keep reading i promise there are goodies at the end of this post!

FINAL THOUGHTS / COUPON CODE:
Thanks for sticking around to the end of this review! We promise you won't regret it with the goodies below!
Would I recommend these products?  Of course!  These stickers are perfect for any EC lover, and there are a ton to choose from!  Not only are the products great, but the customer service is great as well.  Megan and her mother put great care into making sure that your order is perfect every time!

Be sure to visit the Moogley&Me Shop and use the code: CYD86 for 15% OFF YOUR ORDER (NO MINIMUM PURCHASE!) This offer expires on July 31, 2015.

This past month of May was such a crazy month.  We (James and I ) were on our way to Pennsylvania for a month long trip to catch up with friends, be kind of touristy, and attend my sisters wedding.  We started packing the first week in May.

carry up to 3 oz. of liquid on an airplane in a large gallon bag to make security checks easier.
The next part of our trip was the flights.  We flew from Burbank CA to Denver CO to Philly.  The flight from Burbank to Denver was terrible.   There was so much turbulence it wasn't even funny.

On the flights back there was some turbulance and by some I mean (3/4 of the flight) from Philly to Denver.  When we landed in Burbank there were about six police officers, and two police cars on the tarmac in front of our plane.  Who knows what was happening, but it made for an interesting walk from the plane (in Burbank they use the old school sky stairs so that you can enter and exit through the front and back of the plane).

We stayed at my parent's house in Northeastern Pennsylvania.   Every year my mother does a phenomenal job of landscaping the entire yard so I thought I would show off some her pride and joy!

During this whole month I also took part in my very first, and very own May A-Z Blog Challenge.  I will include a roundup post of that challenge within the next few days so stay tuned for that.

Also be sure to check back on Sunday for a brand new product review!

We hope that you enjoyed seeing some of the things that we did on our trip, and we look forward to bringing you more of the like in the future.

Let us know what your favorite part about vacation is.  Mine was seeing all of my friends, and attending my sisters wedding with my fiancé James.  Let us know in the comments below!

Our Fauxdori Store is back from vacation as well so be sure to check it out!
