Welcome to Reblog Wednesday at Createyou86. Recently I have been scouring eBay, and Amazon for Inspirational books about Blogging, and Entrepreneurs who have written books. Everyone has their own story, and I love hearing about being an entrepreneur from different perspectives. I also enjoy Inspirational Books as well that I can go back to time after time. I found this list of books via Thought Catalog. These books are all written by women, but I am open to reading books by men as well.

We have all had those days. You think you are sitting down for an awesome planning session. You bring out your pens, post-it's, stickers, journaling cards, hole punches, weekly schedules, and quite possibly a work schedule or two. It turns out to be pretty much whatever will fit on your desk, bed or couch that is planner related. You sit down, and the chaos incurs. You are steeped in your planning routine, ticking off boxes from the week before, and creating new ones. You may even have stamps and stamp pads creating your list lines. Where in this planning routine does it become too much planning, and not enough fun? The times when I sit down with my planners are supposed to be "me time". However, it can quickly become overwhelming. "In complex situations, we may rely too heavily on planning and forecasting and underestimate the importance of random factors in the environment. That reliance can also lead to delusions of control." - Einhorn, Hillel J. - American Academics - Life Plan Community This quote truly hits home with me. Coming from someone who considers herself a bit of a control freak. I see it. It is a weekly activity persuing control and order for each individuals life, and in many cases a strict regiment for our families as well. When I started the "hobby" of planning, I never thought I would have taken this stance, but when I see how much work I, and others put into planning and organization I have to ask myself "Where is the fun in all of this regiment?" When did we stop appreciating those unplanned moments with loved ones, and friends, and become more interested in which color Martha Stewart Dewdrops we should put in our planner to signify that a blog post needs to be written, or that we went to the Target Dollar Spot?
It may not seem like this in the beginning because we think that we are bettering ourselves and our families, but when does enough become too much? When does the planning become not fun anymore? DONT PANIC!!! I have no intention of ending my planning love affair. At this point I dont think that I could (I'm addicted!). However, this topic really made me think about a hobby that many times becomes a habit, and how I will plan differently in the future. I think alot of planners in the back of their heads think about this, and it is kept quiet to justify purchasing multiple planners, and planner goodies (this is just my humble opinion.) THE TIME IS HERE.... Do you feel the same way, or do you feel comfortable with how you have grown as a planner? Let us know in the comments below!
Welcome to the Createyou86 review of SLIMQUICK Pure Extra Strength Drink Mix (for women). I want to be clear that i do not post reviews unless i feel like the product being reviewed can positively impact my readers lives. The following is a sponsored post, but all opinions are honest, and my own.
Nowadays you can go to the grocery store, or even the Dollar Tree, and find drink mixes. Some might just be for enjoyment, and others may claim that they can help with weight loss, water weight loss etc. This product is very easy to use. You simply add the mix to a bottle of water, and shake.
SLIMQUICK Pure Extra Strength Mixed Berries Drink Mix is designed for women to help them lose 3 times the weight by addressing the 6 physical reasons women have trouble losing weight.
SLIMQUICK Pure works to: -Increase Metabolism -Reduce Appetite -Boost Energy -Reduce Excess Water -Support Hormones -Reduce Stress SLIMQUICK Pure Extra Strength Drink Mix contains natural ingredients like antioxidants, calcium, vitamin D and BioPure Green Tea™. SLIMQUICK Pure Extra Strength Drink Mix has isolated the fat-burning component in green tea that speeds up your metabolism. It is called BioPure Green Tea™ and it has been shown in a published clinical study to help overweight women lose 3 times a the weight versus dieting alone, in just 13 weeks. (Source: Brandbacker Campaign Page) My Thoughts There is a recommended regiment to get the best results from Slimquick Pure Extra Strength: Day 1 - 1 morning, 1 afternoon Day 2 - 2 morning, 1 afternoon Day 3 onward - 2 morning, 2 afternoon I know that the recommended daily consumption of water is eight glasses. However, I think that everyone's body has their own limits. I tried my best to consume what was recommended, and i kept a small journal of how my body felt, and how much i drank. I take walks daily, so my daily exercise routine is not rigorous, and does not cause me to sweat a lot, with a need to re-hydrate constantly. With that said here is what my Slimquick journal looked like. Createyou86 Slimquick Personal Notes -Tastes fruity as advertised, but not overbearing, and not chalky like some weight loss drinks can taste. -Easy to use anywhere, anytime. Just put in purse, and add to water when needed or desired. -Product tastes better cold, but doesn't taste bad at room temperature either. Some other products can taste horrible when room temperature. -Received a pack of 4 gummy's to try, and they tasted good. They were soft, and east to eat. There was a little bit of an after taste, but nothing unexpected or unbearable. I would purchase these in the future. Day 1 Friday 2 Waters Finished bottle of water at 7:00 PM, went to bed at 2:00 am, and had trouble sleeping because of energy rush. (It is recommended that you not use the drink mix within five hours of sleep). Day 2 Saturday 2 waters Curbed appetite Increased energy, but not so much that i had the shakes. Small migraine (unknown causes) Used the bathroom more than usual (helps with water weight). Day 3 Sunday 2 waters Increased energy Curbed appetite No trouble sleeping Day 4 Monday 3 waters Increased energy For some reason i was having trouble drinking this much this day. Increased bathroom usage (flushing system with increased water consumption). Day 5 Tuesday 2 waters My body doesn't use water as quickly so consuming as much water as i am is becoming difficult for me. This has nothing to do with the product. I still enjoy the taste, and benefits, but the amount of water i can consume is not in line with how much is recommended. I am sure this varies from person to person. Day 6 Wednesday 2 waters Increased energy (might be residual from previous days?) Drank as much as i felt my body could handle. (again, i am not doing rigorous exercise so my body isn't losing water, and needing to be re-hydrated constantly.) I received the bonus pack with 26 drink packets, and a small pack of 4 gummies to test, and review. Overall, i was very impressed with this product, and would recommend it to any woman trying to lose weight. I have tried plenty of other weight loss products that promise to help lose weight healthily. That just wasn't the case with those products. Slimquick gave me the energy i needed daily, and didn't cause me to have "the shakes" as many weight loss products do. I felt healthy throughout the review time, and will continue to use the product until it runs out. After using it i will most likely purchase the product again, that is how much i enjoyed this product. I felt a definite positive change in my body. There is also a Slimquick 25 pound challenge presented on the side of the box that the product comes in. Visit My Slimquick to join the challenge with thousands of other women. You will receive free weightloss support including meal plans, exercise tips, and recipes. SPECIAL OFFER BELOW! Check out the nutrition facts posted below (this is the same information on the side of the box)

Welcome back to Transformation Tuesday at Createyou86. This post might seem insensitive to some, but I can't stand apologizing for who I am. You should never have to feel sorry for the things that you believe. If you believe them strongly enough stand up for yourself, and your beliefs. This is that post for me so if you are easily offended you might want to skip this post.
#Sorrynotsorry I'm not sorry for the removal of toxic friends and family from my life. No one has time for that especially me. I'm not sorry that I have strong political opinions, and that I am educated about my thoughts on politics. I'm not sorry that I have strong religious opinions, and that I'm educated about my thoughts on religion. I'm not sorry that I am persuing something that I enjoy instead of what someone else thinks I should be persuing. I'm not sorry that I found the love of my life in an unexpected place, and had to go through hell to get where I am. I'm not sorry that I have my own fashion sense, and don't care what main stream media says. Yes, I like some mainstream fashion, but i'm more worried about being comfortable in the clothes I wear than making a fashion statement. I'm not sorry for my taste in music, books, gaming (because yes I'm a gamer girl), and my deep seeded enjoyment of the Kardashians. My opinion is mine alone. I'm not sorry for anything written on this blog. It is my intellectual property and I can write what I want. (Source - Look through my lens blog) I'm not sorry that I stand up for my friends weather it is in person or on social media. There is just too much talking behind the back going on, and if you want people to take you seriously don't talk about people behind their back you will get caught, and you will get exposed. I'm not sorry that I don't really drink anymore. I went through a period where I drank alot, and I just dont see the need to waste money drinking anymore. Most of my family, and friends drink socially, and that is cool, I might join you for one here or there, but don't try to pressure me into it. It makes me respect you less. I'm not sorry about my past. It has made me the person I am today, and I enjoy who I am. I'm not sorry for not letting other people make decisions for me. Not your life, not your place. I don't need your approval darling, that's for insecure people. This post was originally found at Look Through My Lens Blog . I thought it was awesome, and wanted to do an omage to the post with my own additions. What are you #sorrynotsorry for? Let us know in the comments below! Welcome to the last post of the Createyou86 July Blog Series Soar Into Summer. We hope that you have enjoyed this series. We thought we would share some of our favorite recent planning blogs. What are your favorite planning and organization blogs right now? Let us know in the comments below! Welcome to the fifth post in the Createyou86 July Blog Series Soar Into Summer. Have you recently started planning, and you are wondering how you will be able to keep your planning going throughout the years? When I first started planning I had never really planned before. Not in school, not for work, not even for personal needs. However, when I started this blog my needs changed. I knew that for SEO purposes I should post at least three times weekly. Starting there, I began to build my planning system for the future.
1.) What are you planning? Are you planning a blog, workouts, your personal life, work? Know what you are planning, and know the type of planner that works best for you. Personally I use horizontal planning. I have relatively big handwriting so a horizontal setup gives me enough space to write what I need to write. I normally use 3 planners: Business, personal, and blog outside of #onebookjuly2015. 2.) Establish a planning system. As previously discussed it is important for future planning that you establish a planning system that works for you. If your planning system involves a Travelers Notebook, and that works for you because you can move notebooks in, and out then keep doing what you are doing. If you use a Filofax because you can take out, and move around papers, and that works for you that is great. Finding a system that is unique to you is very important for future planning. However, this does not mean that you can never change your system, it just means that having a system in place, and not constantly switching your system around will help you plan easier, and more efficiently. 3.) Change sometimes is needed. So you have picked a system, used it for sever weeks, months, and maybe even years, but you see different planning types evolving, and you feel like it might work better for you. Dont feel bad about changing systems. Change is inevitable. I started in a Avery for Target planner, and currently use a Personal Filofax, a Personal Planner, and a A5 At-A-Glance planner. My system has changed, and evolved over almost a year, and a half, and I feel that I am comfortable with my system. However, My Personal Planner ends in December 2015 so I will need to get a new blog planner, My Filofax pages which are really a Sugar Paper LA planner run out in December so I will need to find new inserts, and my A5 planner which is a medium Sugar Paper LA planner is in the same situation as the above. Will I keep this system? I am not sure. There are other systems that I would love to try, and I may do that making sure that I keep my established system working. The best thing you can do is evolve with your system, and if it organically changes then roll with it. I hope you found this article about continuous planning helpful. Be sure to check out Emilie's Blog and MaryEllen's Blog for their own take on continuous planning. Welcome to Reblog Wednesday at Createyou86. This is a post that I have found this week that I enjoyed enough to share with all of you.
Have you ever used Tumblr ? When I first started Createyou86 I knew absolutely nothing about blogging, but I knew that Tumblr was a blog, and that it was very popular. There are so many functions of Tumblr, and so many different ways to share different types of information. I started using Tumblr to share my website link, and then began to expand what I shared. I found this great link from The Blogging Brew about ways to use Tumblr to expand your blogs reach. What is the best way that you feel Tumblr is able to expand your blog? Let us know in the comments below! Welcome to Transformation Tuesday at Createyou86. Have you been struggling with other people weather it be family or friends not taking your "crafting business" seriously? Here are a few ways that you can help others to take your business weather it be crafting or printing stickers as an Etsy seller more seriously.
1.) Take yourself seriously. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying to take yourself seriously and never laugh at a joke again, but take the work that you are doing seriously. Are you printing stickers on your silhouette, and making a pretty penny on Etsy? Are you creating Fauxdoris or Filofax inserts or even pretty paperclips? In order for other people to take you seriously YOU need to take you seriously as a business owner. What does this mean? 2.) Keep business hours, or a work schedule. One way that other's can start to take you more serious is if you keep business hours. Maybe your friends want you to go out constantly, but you have orders to fill, let them know. Let people know that you now have business hours, and that instead of going out every time that they call you, email or text you let them know that you are working, and that another time would be better for you. 3.) Have a website/store/blog to direct people to. There are so many great sites that you can Create a free website, or even a paid website with. "Websites" are a great way to prove to others that you really are doing something great, that you take yourself seriously, and that you are trying to bring your store/site/blog to the next level. another thing to carry with you would be Business Cards. You can make your own, or you can very affordably have business cards made. These are perfect to hand to someone when they ask what you do. I hope that these tips are helpful to you, or someone you know. Be sure to let us know your best tip for being taken seriously in your business below! Welcome to the fourth post in the Createyou86 Soar Into Summer July Blog Series. Today's post is all about the mistakes we make as rookie planning and organization lovers.
1.) Using someone else's setup. We have probably all done this when we first start planning. We search YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest for setups that we think are beautiful, and we think "That is so pretty it'll surely work for me." So......we buy the planner inserts, same stickers, even the same planner. The worst part of this is that yes these particular planner are beautiful, but the person using the system has probably already established exactly how it works for them. Just because it works for them doesn't mean it will for you. Moral: Try your own system. 2.) Spending too much time thinking, over thinking, and planning. I love those (number) planners! Which color am I going to get? Which sale is the best? Am i collecting planners for a "maybe moment"? (maybe I'll use this in six months for my chia pet collection planning). Which setup will I use? Which stickers do I need to buy? Where will I store it? Which pen case do I need? This type of thinking can cause excitement or anxiety. If you aren't making decisions about which planner to purchase will you ever start planning? Moral: Don't over think your planning beginning or you may never begin. 3.) Not using what you already have. Can you afford an $80.00 Erin Condren Life Planner? Can you afford a $150.00 Filofax? Or could you be using a Dollar Tree planner, or a planner from Target that is more in your price range for the time being until you have saved up enough money to get the "planner of your dreams"? Can you create a DIY planner from a relatively large notebook that you already have? I started out using an Avery for Target brand planner, and I loved it. It was a simple, and very affordable planning system to use, and see if I even enjoyed planning because I never had before. I would highly recommend starting with an affordable planner, and working your way up to a more expensive planner if need be. You may end up loving a more affordable planner. Do you have stickers that you used to use for scrapbooking, or you saved from art that you used to do? Do you have children? Use some of their stickers to get yourself started with decorating, and maybe buy 1 or 2 washi to get started. Again, try your own methods to see what you like. Moral: Use what you have to begin your planning journey. You don't have to spend a ton of money to begin planning. 4.) All-in, and lost steam. We buy our planner, and begin the setup process. We figure out which planner inserts we need, or maybe we made our own planner, what our dividers will be, and the decorating begins. You have spent some money, and jumped in with both feet, but how long will the planning truly last? Sometimes the meer setup of a planner can burn us out. Do you have your goals for planning choosen? Making planning goals or choosing a specific goal for your planner, and planning accordingly can help prevent planner burn out. Are you using your planner for school? Bring you planner with you in your bookbag or purse. This will help you stay up to date with your planning, and if you need to make appointments, reminders or even if you just have an idea you will have a place to write it down. You can always look for inspiration in other places if you need it. Thanks for checking out this post. Be sure to check out Emilie's Blog and MaryEllen's Blog for their take on this post. What is the biggest mistake you made as a beginning planner? Let us know in the comments below! welcome to the third post of the Createyou86 Soar Into Summer July Blog Series. Do you use stickers in your planning regiment? Many planners use stickers to make their planner more interesting, to create a theme, or to signify special events. Here are some examples of how I use stickers in my planners. The best advice i feel that i can give about using stickers in your planners is that 1.) If it helps to propel your planning (check lists) or specific stickers for specific events which help remind you what you should be doing, and they are effective in reminding you then keep doing what you are doing. 2.) If you are using stickers to decorate, make sure that they don't cover up or distract from any important information in your planner. If they are doing that, it might be time to reconsider how you use your stickers in planning. 3.) Use stickers sparingly for a minimalistic view of your planner, and add more when you feel confident that you are effectively planning, and following through.
I hope that you have enjoyed seeing some of the ways that I use stickers in my planners. How are you currently planning? Are you able to slim down? Let us know in the comments below! Welcome to Reblog Wednesday at Createyou86. I read an article this morning about the most animal friendly airlines. Let me tell you about my previous experiences. I have a small Papillon named Penn she weighs about 6 pounds. I prefer to travel with Southwest Airlines. Southwest is most times the cheapest fare around, and they are animal friendly. In order to fly with your animal on Southwest there are a few things that you will need to do.
4. When it comes to food I would not feed your animal The morning of to insure no accidents. I would also recommend stopping a few miles before the airport to let your animal go potty. Going through security can be a bit of a pain so already having potty out of the way is helpful. Otherwise, even between flights you'll have to leave the airport, and go back through security a second time to get back in. Be sure to bring a clear baggy with dry food to feed your furry friend throughout the day. 5. Make sure that your animal is comfortable for their flight. The carriers have to be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you (that is what in cabin means), and the animal cannot come out of the carrier for the duration of your flight. There does have to be enough room for the animal to be able to get up, and turn around comfortably in the crate which is not an issue with the Southwest carrier. The bottom of the carrier is soft plastic so I like to put an old t-shirt on the bottom, and Penn's favorite stuffed baby or bone inside in case she gets board. I lucked out with a very easy animal to travel with. She is extremely well behaved, and sleeps almost the entire time. Southwest Airlines workers are more than happy to answer any questions you might have about travel. They also have more information on their website Southwest Airlines. I hope that this post has been informative. Have you ever traveled with a pet? Let us know in the comments below! |
