Welcome to another special product review here at Createyou86. I am in love with these journals. They all have their own personalities, and would each be perfect for the art lover in your family. For those of you that love Bible journaling these art journals are perfect. I will be reviewing each of the three journals in this post including photos, and my thoughts on each. The first journal i will review is the Illuminate Your Story Journal. All of these journals are hardcover, and this one has an elastic pen holder on the spine. Because they are hardcover they have great spines which would look great on any bookcase. The journal has a "Belongs to" page, an introduction, History of Illuminated Letters, The Process, and Supplies Needed page (Creating Your Own Page). Every couple of pages there is a step by step tutorial of how to draw an illuminated letter, and then a page for you to practice on. There are even some cute tutorials of small animals. This journals also has a bookmark, elastic closure strap, and a keepsakes pocket in the back where you can put paper clippings, or ephemera to use in your journaling. Next is The Illustrated Word (An Illuminated Bible Coloring Journal). The best part about this journal is that it doubles as an "adult style" coloring book. Each page has a photo from a Bible from history, and takes a small piece of the photo (right photo) as the journal page, and uses that color photo to turn it into a full page coloring page. "Create your own masterpiece with this journal that has forty glorious illustrations from ancient manuscripts that have been recreated as line drawings. Just as medieval monks brought Scripture to life through intricate inked illustrations in handwritten manuscripts hundreds of years ago, you can now create your own stunning keepsake that will be treasured for years to come." (Noble, B., 2018) Last is the Faith & Lettering Journal. This hardcover journal has a beautiful name page, and a two page introduction to faith lettering, and how to use the book. There are full color full page passages from the bible scattered throughout the book. The book opens with a tutorial (photo 3, top right), and continues onto a lettering tutorial with different tips throughout the book. The journaling pages vary between lined, grid, and dot grid. The tutorials vary between lettering, flourishes, and quotes. This is my favorite of the three journals as i feel it is the most informative, and teaches the most thoroughly. Some things that i loved about all of these journals include the paper quality, and the quotes. One of my favorite quotes is "Be still and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10). I also love that they are hardcover, and will withstand the test of time, and look good on bookshelves doing it. I will be giving one to my niece for Christmas, and i will be using one of the journals to try some lettering myself because i do enjoy watching other people letter, and have wanted to learn for a while now. I hope that you enjoyed this review, and be sure to check out the purchase links in each of the description sections. LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW: Which journal is your favorite? I received these three beautiful art journals free of charge in exchange for an honest review.
