Welcome to another product review here at Createyou86.  This is a product that i couldn't be more excited about.  This is a book that pretty much anyone can relate to.  This book is written by Dr. Todd Cartmell.  He has his Doctorate in clinical psychology, and he has written several (faith based) books.  You may be thinking....."Great another person who thinks he knows what God wants us to teach our children!", but this book is far from that.  This book has simple ways of making HUGE faith based points in a very low key way.  I started this book, and within minutes i found myself enthralled, and on page 50.  Being able to hold my attention with this type of a book is rare, but this read was well worth it!
In May of 2015 I became a first time Aunt to two children who i had never met.  These children are my sisters son, and daughter who are 10(m), and 13(f).  I am not very religious so i approached this book with skepticism, but i figured as their aunt i should be able to shed some light, and be the best aunt that i can be for them should the need arise.
This book is an easy read.  The chapter are no more than a couple of pages.  At the end of each chapter there is a one sentence review of what the chapter was about, and a self reflection question to answer as well.  I love the end of the chapters because i have a tendency to read very fast, but sometimes have trouble comprehending.  The chapter end reviews help me sum up what i may have missed. Here is an example from the book.

LISTENING TIP #5: (pg. 58)
When you listen with your entire body, it shows your kids that their thoughts and feelings are VALUABLE to you, which means that THEY are valuable to you.

Consider: Can you tell when someone is really listening to you?  How do you feel when you are really listened to?  How will listening with your entire body impact your relationship with your kids?

In the first 68 pages of the book God is only referenced twice, and one said reference pertains to the Golden rule of "Treat others how you want to be treated" which isn't only Godly, but the right thing to do as a human being.  I feel like anyone can learn some simple life tips, and tricks from reading this book, and I would highly recommend it.

This sounds like a great book! It does make sense that the Creator of children would know best how to raise them. Kudos to you for being a pro-active aunt!
