Welcome to the sixth post in the Createyou86 August Blog Series Secrets of the Organized Planner & Blogger.  This is the second post in the second half of the series focusing on being a more organized blogger.
A very important part of being a blogger is having a designated blogging area.  Depending on the type of blogger you are this could mean a few different things.  You may be a travel or on the go blogger so being close to your phone at all times to take photos, and be posting may be the only area that you need. On the other hand you may be a stay at home mom who home-schools her kids.  This might mean that you need to schedule some quiet time in a family office where your computer or laptop is, and you may even wait until the kids go to sleep in order to have some space to yourself to blog.  You might be a student who goes to the library or sits in a quiet area on campus to do their blogging.  I on the other hand blog from my bedroom.  Here are a couple of quick tips to take into account when choosing your designated blogging area.

  1. Comfort - You need to be comfortable to be able to focus, and do your best work.  This might mean being at a desk, sitting on the couch, or being somewhere completely quiet like a personal office or library.
  2. Lighting - Be sure you have plenty of light so that you are comfortably able to read any notes you may have to read for your posts.  Light is also important so that you are not straining your eyes.  This is very important even when reading a computer screen.
  3. Limit Distractions - Kids, friends, and coworkers can all be serious distractions when you are trying to do your best to get a post out during the day.  Be sure to try to limit your distractions in order to do your best work, and be the most efficient.  This is especially important if you have a strict posting schedule.
  4. Take Breaks - Personally i love marathon blogging, but i get easy eye fatigue, and i get bored easily. Be sure to take breaks to get up to stretch, eat, or even nap if need be, and if you need to move a post to a different day do what works for your schedule.  You can always post a social media photo saying the post will be up ASAP.

What do you do to make your designated blogging area efficient?  Let us know in the comments below!
