Welcome to Transformation Tuesday at Createyou86. Have you been struggling with other people weather it be family or friends not taking your "crafting business" seriously? Here are a few ways that you can help others to take your business weather it be crafting or printing stickers as an Etsy seller more seriously.
1.) Take yourself seriously. Don't get me wrong. I am not saying to take yourself seriously and never laugh at a joke again, but take the work that you are doing seriously. Are you printing stickers on your silhouette, and making a pretty penny on Etsy? Are you creating Fauxdoris or Filofax inserts or even pretty paperclips? In order for other people to take you seriously YOU need to take you seriously as a business owner. What does this mean? 2.) Keep business hours, or a work schedule. One way that other's can start to take you more serious is if you keep business hours. Maybe your friends want you to go out constantly, but you have orders to fill, let them know. Let people know that you now have business hours, and that instead of going out every time that they call you, email or text you let them know that you are working, and that another time would be better for you. 3.) Have a website/store/blog to direct people to. There are so many great sites that you can Create a free website, or even a paid website with. "Websites" are a great way to prove to others that you really are doing something great, that you take yourself seriously, and that you are trying to bring your store/site/blog to the next level. another thing to carry with you would be Business Cards. You can make your own, or you can very affordably have business cards made. These are perfect to hand to someone when they ask what you do. I hope that these tips are helpful to you, or someone you know. Be sure to let us know your best tip for being taken seriously in your business below!
