Welcome to another product review here at Createyou86. Can you believe that there are only twelve days until Christmas? What could be a better time than this to talk about Let The Little Children Come gospel tracts, and evangelism tools and resources. I was provided with a free sample pack of items from Flyby Promotions in exchange for an honest product review.
These products are great for most major Christian holidays. It is the hope that these tools, and resources help in conveying the powerful gospel message to children. The gospel tracts are all specially designed to capture and hold the attention of children, while not distracting from the core message of salvation through Jesus Christ.
As a current, and long time childcare professional I have also taught bible study for young children, and have done several VBS camps. These tracts are colorful, and exciting to young hands, and eyes, but with the young children that these are intended for it is very important to supervise very carefully in the use of the products as there are some very small items which can be swallowed. Aside from that these products are great, and very informative for the young child. Any child would look forward to receiving these products, and being able to share them with friends, and family.
If you feel that these products may be useful for your church or organization you can purchase the sample pack HERE
Below are a few photos of items that come in the sample pack.

Welcome to the fifth post in the September Studies 2.0 Blog Series here at Createyou86. I have gotten back into reading recently because of a book club series i did through YouTube. I love to read, and i read 300 words per minute, and comprehend 80% of that reading. Why do i know this? I was tested when i was younger, and when i was in seventh grade i had a college level reading capacity. Like i said I LOVE to read. I love the learning, i love the escapism aspect, and i love accomplishing a great book. Over the last two months i have bought quite a few books. This will be a comprehensive list of the books i have bought recently, and am currently, or plan to read in the very near future. (All photos are linked)
These are just a few of the books that i will be reading, and creating blog posts, and YouTube series on.
I hope that you are enjoying this series so far, and that you are excited about the October posts coming up soon.
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE BOOK EVER?
Welcome to the third post in the September Studies 2.0 Blog Series here at Createyou86. This post is acting as an update for a case study that I have been working diligently on for almost two months. I have been researching several different ideas, and laws from the book The 48 Laws Of Power. Most times case studies take several months to compile, and create. My goal for this case study is to have it completed by mid-October. So far i have 30 pages of writing to break down, and decide which information is best suited for the blog post which will accompany it. Here are a few photos of what my working notebook looks like.
I hope that you are looking forward to reading this case study as much as i am to releasing it. There will have been a lot of time, and energy put into it to create the best post possible with as much information as possible. Some of the information that you can expect to come from the post has been collected from scholarly journals, websites regarding the book, articles, books themselves, The Harvard Review, podcasts, and several other items.
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW: DO YOU LIKE LONGER BLOG POSTS?
Welcome to the second post in the September Studies 2.0 Blog Series here at Createyou86. This post is a pretty personal one. I hope that i can encourage you to get up, and make that change that you may have been needing that extra push to start in yourself.
I began my current weight loss journey in July of 2017. I was self motivated one day when i came home from work, went to get undressed, and found that my bra (sorry guys!) had left bruises on my skin. I was shocked. This had never happened before, and i took it as a wake-up call. I knew i needed to do something about my weight. Now this did not come from any outward source (no bullying, body shaming, etc.) I am that person that could care less about what other people think of my body because the only person that i need to please is myself. I just took a good, hard look in the mirror, and decided that i needed a change. I have lost weight in the past via very unhealthy means, and knew that it wouldn't work, and just wasn't healthy for my body. I work a very high energy job (I chase around 1 year olds all day as a Head Teacher of a 1 year old classroom), and i wanted to do the healthiest thing for my body going forward as i am no spring chicken anymore. So what steps did i take to lose this amount of weight in just about a month?
2. MET WITH THE TRAINER
I believe that this is a crucial part of weight loss. I met with the trainer at my gym, and she helped me devise a workout plan, and schedule that was designed specifically to my body. The workout we devised is called a 3 day split (3 days working out, 2 days resting) in whichever order you like. This schedule is created for everyone who does the program. She explained that it is the best thing for your body to be able to recover from the exercises that you are doing. In this class she also showed us how to properly use every weight lifting machine in the building. My workout consists of 10-15 minutes of stretching, 15-30 minutes of cardio depending on the machine i am using, and about an hour of lifting weights at a ratio of 4:12 or 4 sets of 12 reps. I am doing this 2-3 times a week after work.
3. THE FOOD
One of the biggest questions i get asked is "WHAT DO YOU EAT?" This is what everyone always wants to know because dieting is not easy at all. I had found it to be particularly difficult in the past because where i work, we are required / asked to eat the same food that the children are eating (4 meals: Breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack) to encourage them to try different foods, and to replicate good eating habits, and etiquette. Most of the food the children eat are carbs including rice, pizza, pita bread, regular bread and noodles. Currently, i am still eating with the children, but i have started eating only the fruit/vegetables that they are served, and very small portions of other carbs. Everyday i bring a 64 oz. water bottle to work with me which was $5.00 at Five Below. Some days i finish it, other days i don't finish it at work, but will finish it during dinner at home. I have also started packing my lunch instead of going out to lunch every single day. It not only saves money, but keeps you on your diet. I need to be completely, or close to completely full to be satisfied, and i have found the perfect lunch combination. So....what do i eat?
I currently purchase all of my lunch food from my local Costco. Buying in bulk is saving me a ton of money because my food lasts longer. I currently bring 2 Activia Yogurts with me per day in my lunch box. I happen to love yogurt.
The next item in my lunchbox is Sargento Balanced Breaks. I love cheese, nuts, and fruit so these are the perfect mix. These come in packs of 12 at Costco (white, and yellow cheddar with different nuts). Again, you can't beat the price of $9.99 that will last me at least 12 days not counting weekends.
Last, but not least i include a "snack" in my lunchbox. Sometimes i eat this with my lunch around 12:00, and sometimes i eat this while the children in my class are eating their afternoon snack around 3:30. I am fortunate enough to have a refrigerator in my classroom, and to be able to eat whenever i want, or need to. I have actually checked the labels for these Kirkland (Costco Brand), and compared them to the Kashi Brand granola bars, and these Kirkland Brand are actually better for you in every way which was really shocking because Kashi is a well known health food brand. These granola bars are only 100 Calories per bar. (which you can see in the yellow circle on the top left of the bar). You really do need to compare labels to get the best out of your purchases. I also learned recently from a healthcare professional that if you can not read the ingredients on the label of any food that you should not be eating that food. These granola bars come 60 in a box at Costco so they last for at least 2 months.
NOTE AND CONFESSION:
I am a soda drinker. Plain old Coca Cola. I drink soda every day. I drink it at lunch for a little caffeine kick after having sat through nap time classical music it gives me some pep in my step (and as a caffeine product it does not give me migraines!!!). There are definitely times that i cheat on my lunches, but i try to keep to this lunch, and some kind of protein for dinner to even out my meal intake. This lunch, and water keeps me full from about 12:00-5:00 pm when i arrive at home for dinner around 6:30 pm. What I will say right now which is actually what a co-worker said to me recently is that i workout so that i can eat what i want.
If you feel that you need some kind of change in your life, or need to change what you are eating to lose weight i will firstly tell you to ask your physician what would be the best course for you. I am not a doctor, and have no expertise. This is simply my account of how i lost 20 pounds in about a month. Everyone's body is different, and will react differently. Here are my dated before, and after photos from the first day i started at my gym.
I hope that you have enjoyed this post, and this series so far. There is so much more to expect from this series.
LET ME KNOW IN THE COMMENTS BELOW: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SNACK FOOD?
Welcome to the first post in the September Studies 2.0 Blog Series. You may remember this series from last year, and i liked it so much that i have decided to create a second version. Last year i really took a look at myself as a blogger, planner, and creator. This year i want to look further into myself, my planning, organization, creation, and challenge myself to do a case study for this series. Even if i don't finish it i want to keep you updated about how it is going. In the past case studies have taken me a few months to get together.
This month is also my three year blogiversary, and you can expect a post all about that. I am so excited to be able to look back at the past three years of blogging. It has been quite the journey.
I hope that you enjoy this series, and that it helps you or someone you know. I am very excited to get started on this series.
What will you be most excited for in this series?
Welcome to the first post in the Falling Into Fall Blog Series here at Createyou86. Well...it is a little strange writing this "Fall" post on October 8th, and today in Eastern Pennsylvania it was a crisp 80 degrees out. Yup, you read right 80! We are still waiting for fall to kick in here so i thought to be festive, and make it feel a little more fallish around here i would make a fall series. I am currently burning a Yankee Candle Pumpkin Pie scented wax melt in my room so it smells amazing!
Although, i am super excited that fall is coming, and should be here already i am even more excited to share that this blog turned 3 years old on September 25, 2017. I can not believe how fast time has flown by, and how this blog has changed over the past three years. Keep reading to see what happened this year it is pretty great!
On September 25, 2014 i was sitting in a church in Central California wondering what was going to happen with my life. I was doing a job i really wasn't a fan of, and had newly learned about planning. I figured that i would immerse myself into the world of blogging as an escape, and to inspire myself. It might seem strange that i wasn't trying to inspire other people, but at that point i really didn't know what direction I wanted to go, and thought by writing i could figure it out. Three years later, and here I am writing another blog post (i have definitely taken breaks) which i don't feel bad about, and i feel like i have grown through my posts. Last year i did a fall photo shoot for my two year blogiversary, and i felt like it was such a fun thing to do for my blog that i did it again this year. I want to throw out a HUGE thank you for everyone who has visited, and supported this page for the past three years. It has been a great ride, and i can't wait to get working on more great content.
I hope that you have enjoyed this post as much as i have enjoyed creating it. These photo shoots are always so much fun, and October is my favorite month. Look forward to some great posts this month.
Let me know in the comments below: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MONTH?
Welcome to a planners favorite month EVER! July ! This month is my personal favorite because of a planner challenge called #ONEBOOKJULY2017. This challenge has been around for several years, and a ton of people take part in it especially on YouTube. It is all about getting back to basics in your planner, knowing your system, and how it works for you. I am taking part in the challenge each week by posting a weekly update on YouTube. If you are interested in checking out more about the challenge check out my introduction video below, and from one planner to another I highly recommend that you take part in this challenge from Rhomany's Realm on YouTube.

Welcome to the second post in the June Planner Choices Blog Series here at Createyou86. The topic of this post is something that i think about all of the time. What is the REAL value of planning? From someone who started out never planning in her childhood to being an avid planner in her late 20's.
The value that i get from planning is immeasurable. I am able to keep my life together by planning, and i am able to keep ahead of myself. Although, i do not have a lot to plan on a weekly basis, i do find that it eases my mind to write everything down, and organize. Planning really benefits everyone weather they know it or not. Maybe you are planning a party. There are many aspects that need to be planned: The guest list, food, venue, time, entertainment, etc. When everything is planned out it makes it easy for everyone to know where they need to be, and when. It also helps to plan the before, and if people are going to bring something with them to help supply the party. Every person wins by knowing everything that they need to know, and you knowing what you need to do, and where you need to be.
I feel like the biggest value from planning is originality. Your planner is a place that no one else needs to see, but you, and you can express yourself without judgement. You can make it beautiful, scrappy, neat, or messy, and know that it is all you, and your ideas.

Welcome to another product review here at Createyou86. This is a very special review. I was lucky enough to get an advance deluxe copy of Mandisa Out Of The Dark for free from Flyby Promotions in exchange for my 100% honest review.. Mandisa wrote her song “Overcomer” in 2013 to encourage her close friend Kisha, who was battling breast cancer. Mandisa really believed and prayed that God was going to heal her, but when Kisha went to be with Jesus in 2014, Mandisa’s foundation was shaken in a way she never expected. She fell into a deep pit of depression for close to 3 years, shutting out her friends, family and the rest of the world. Mandisa believes if she had kept going down that road she was on, she would not be here today… but God stepped in and lifted her out of that pit by using her close friends to communicate their love for her and God’s love for her. This album is Mandisa’s way of letting her fans into her story – it’s called Out Of The Dark because that is exactly where God lifted her out of!
This album is a great mix of funk, pop, hip hop, and worship. A few of my favorite songs off of the album include: I'm Still Here, Bleed The Same, Unfinished, and Comeback Kid. This album is unlike any other worship music i have heard before, and i was very pleasantly surprised by the album in general. I have been listening to this album in my car, and driving with the windows down on a beautiful day really puts this album in perspective, and really lets the power of Mandisa's lyrics sink in.
If you love worship music, i would highly recommend picking up Mandisa's Out Of The Dark Deluxe Album today! It is very inspiring. If you are curious about this album, or are looking to purchase you can check out the links below.

This series is going to be about inspiration, where to find inspiration for your planner, and ways to make your planner more organized than ever before. Keep reading to find out how you can find planner inspiration anywhere.
If you are a planner you know that planners are always...always...ALWAYS looking for planner inspiration. There are so many places to find inspiration including magazines. Magazine have to be my favorite place to find inspiration including color combinations for my planner. I like to use interior decorating magazines, or fashion magazines to find colors that i think go well together.
Another place to find great color combinations is Pinterest. All you need to do is open up Pinterest, and search "Color Swatch". A ton of different color swatches will come up, and be amazing to search different colors. You can even be more specific in your color search.
I hope that you enjoy this series, and that you have a very Magical May!

Welcome to the second post in the Createyou86 April Back to Basics Blog Series. This post will be all about which planning supplies new planners could benefit from owning. If you have been following me for a while on any social media, or this blog you know that i love the Dollar tree, Target Dollar Spot, and any other bargain places to buy supplies. I love these places to shop because everyone's planning budget is different, and great planning doesn't need to be expensive. If you would like to keep up with my hauls you can either check my Instagram, or my Youtube Channel. I am always trying to find affordable planning items.
If you are new to planning....WELCOME! The planning community is amazing, and has so much to offer, but do not be fooled into thinking that you need to have super expensive items to be an effective planner. Below will be a list of affordable planners, and planning items that every new planner should own. These items can be found at either The Dollar Tree, Target Dollar Spot, or Michael's (Recollections Brand). This post is not sponsored these just happen to be some of my favorite brands in the planning world.
This list is pretty comprehensive, and you can customize your planner however you like. I do not purchase from Michael's unless I use a coupon. I hope that you are enjoying this Back to Basics series!
Let me know in the comments below WHERE DO YOU BUY AFFORDABLE PLANNER ITEMS?
Welcome to the first post in the April Back To Basics Blog Series here at Createyou86. It may seem very obvious what this series will be about, but i'll say it anyway. This series is about getting back to being one with your planner. It is time to get back to basics, and back to the start. Are you still using the same planner? Are you still using the same inserts? How long has it been since you really REALLY reviewed your planner, and what works for you? What planner accessories are you using? How have these changed since you started planning? If you keep reading you will find out why i prefer paper planning over electronics.
When it comes to planners you will always have your diehard electronic planners as well as your die hard paper planners. Neither of these choices are right or wrong, it just depends on how you utilize your planning to be the most efficient. There are a couple of reasons that i prefer paper over electronic planning. These reasons include:
1. Phones, Computers, and Tablets Break
I can't even count on two hands the amount of times i have had to reset phones, or get rid of phones or tablets because they are acting weird or break. Even computers become obsolete, and just stop working. After 4 years of using a MacBook Pro it just stopped working, and i lost EVERYTHING. Paper is always going to be more reliable as long as you remember to write things down, and keep it in a safe clean place.
2. Planning at Work
You boss most likely won't tell you to put your planner away. However, most bosses will tell you to put your phone away even if you are just using it quickly. As a teacher it is easy for me to make notes, and if need be, bring a planner to work with me, and flip through it without my boss being concerned about using a phone (at our school we are always on camera, and i don't mind it).
PSA...I am so sorry that it has taken this long to put out this blog series. I have been very sick for over a month, and i haven't been healthy enough to post. I also haven't used my planner in a week (not even decorated!) #plannerfail
There you have it my top reasons for using paper planners over electronic planners.

Welcome to the third post in the Createyou86 Planner Awareness Month Blog Series. As a planner i feel like we are always looking for ways to foolproof our planner, and to make our planners work the best for us. This post will be a short, and sweet list of a few ways that i have found to keep my productivity up, and to keep my planners working, and functional for me.
Let me know in the comments below HOW DO YOU FOOLPROOF YOUR PLANNER?
Welcome to the second post in the Createyou86 Planner Awareness Month Blog Series. This post might seem obvious if you have been following my blog for a while, but in a two, and a half year span of owning this blog, and planning, my ideas about why i plan have changed significantly.
When i first came across this community on Instagram, i was in awe of all of the beautiful planner layouts, and i thought that i could get my life together if only i had a planner that looked as beautiful as the ones i was seeing. This changed very quickly. I went through a period of time where i was trying different planners, and seeing which ones i liked, which setup worked best for me, and i even created my own planner. So why do i still plan in 2017?
Let me know in the comments below WHY DO YOU PLAN?
Welcome to the first post in the Createyou86 March Planner Awareness Blog Series. I started this series two years ago, and i loved the title, and concept so much that i have decided to bring it back every March for now on. You can check out the first posts here . This is your official welcome to Planner Awareness Month, and this series will include plenty of tips, and tricks to help you as a veteran planner or a new planner to become more aware of your planning tendencies, and to keep you moving forward in your planning journey. Keep reading to find out about my oldest planner, and my newest planner.
If you have been following me for a while you probably know that i am a die hard Filofax user. I love the quality, price point, and diversity of Filofax. The oldest Filofax that i own is a red personal Domino Filofax, and the newest planner i own is the Recollections Creative Year Black Patent A5 ringed planner.
The personal domino started out as my main planner, and has since been changed to my holiday planner. I love the style of the Domino, and i used it for well over a year, as i started exploring planners. It is a great starter planner, and i would recommend it to anyone who is looking to start planning, and is looking for an affordable option.
The Creative Year Black Patent A5 ringed planner is being used as a business planning, and business project planning filo. It was $30.00 at Michael's which of course i used a coupon on, and got it for $15.00. This planner is great! It is large, holds a ton of paper, and is a perfect price point for a beginner planner as well.
I really appreciate what each of these planners does for me, and how they have helped me grow as a planner. When i first found planners on Instagram almost 3 years ago i saw Filofax, and fell in love. Planners keep me in line, and they keep me organized. They keep me entertained, and are a hobby that i can see myself partaking in for years to come. I also have enough planner supplies to fill a warehouse at this point, and i finally gave in, and purchased a paper cutter last weekend at Hobby Lobby.
Let me know in the comments below WHY DO YOU APPRECIATE YOUR OLDEST, AND NEWEST PLANNERS?
Welcome to the third post in the Createyou86 Cupid's Planning Blog Series. If you have been in the planning community for any amount of time you have probably seen or heard the quote by Benjamin Franklin "Failing to plan is planning to fail." This quote either inspires you, or scares you half to death. I love this quote, and my sister even had it on a big chalkboard in her kitchen to inspire her step children. However, i feel like there is a side to this quote that we as planners just don't talk about. Are we planning to fail? And does planning allow for a higher tolerance of failure?
I get it....you love your planner, and you have the perfect system. You might be a list maker, or a bullet journaler, or even a Filofax user, but do those lists REALLY get finished? There are some of us who use the system of choosing the three most important tasks for the day, and focusing mainly on those tasks only to push our other tasks aside until we have time. There is also a group of planners known as bullet journalers who base their entire system on things they fail to finish. These unfinished tasks are "migrated" to the next day, only to be put on another list day after day until they are completed.
Do i feel like planners set themselves up for a higher tolerance of failure? Yes, and I believe that lists are the problem. I have never been a huge list maker mainly because i like to complete things that i have set out for myself daily. I also have a full-time job, and go to school so this makes completing anything between 7:45 am, and 4:45-5:00 pm (15 minutes for traffic while driving home) literally impossible. Add to the diminishing time that i have throughout the day that i am doing school work at least three nights a week for several hours (I have spent literally 8 hours on a Saturday doing schoolwork), spending time with my fiance, writing blog posts, creating social media posts, and possibly cooking dinner. I simply don't have time for lists that need to be migrated from day to day so i choose one or two main goals for the week (normally blog posts) which i sometimes do not even complete, and you know what? I am okay with that. Am i failing at my blog posts sometimes? Yes, do i fail at other weekly goals, or even daily goals that i might plan? Yes, and i believe that being a planner allows for that acceptance. Our planners are a place where we can be honest with ourselves, and no one else has to see our failures. Is a blog post super important? No, but when you make a list for yourself your goal is normally to see that it gets done. Here are a few things that i suggest so that you as a planner accept less failure.
Let me know in the comments below ARE YOU GUILTY OF PLANNING TO FAIL?
Welcome to the second post in the Createyou86 Cupid's Planning Blog Series. Many times i have asked myself what advantages or disadvantages i have over others in planning. That is precisely what this post will be about.
When we decide that we want to be a planner, or join the community of planners we usually join because we feel like we have an advantage over something in our lives. When i first started planning i not only wanted to be apart of the community, but i had just moved to a new city all the way across the country, and was searching for a new job. I had also started going to a new church where we had a lot of activities weekly, and i just felt like i needed more control over certain aspects of my life.
Within the first couple of months of actively using my planner:
